Set building is the expensive part.
Building a kitchen corner in a studio costs more than the shoot. Hiring a house that already has one costs less and looks more like the thing you are pretending it is.
For furniture, homewares, skincare, food and interiors, the room is the set — and this one comes with the light, the finishes and the styling already resolved.

The bathrooms suit skincare and beauty. The courtyards and pool deck suit summer and lifestyle ranges. The kitchen and dining carry food, homewares and furniture.
The practical part
Worth knowing before you brief it.
Hero Spaces is $300/hr with a three hour minimum and covers the kitchen, living, dining and entry. Half day $1,100, full day $2,050.
Minor styling adjustments are possible with prior approval. If your shoot needs substantial set dressing or furniture moved, put it in the brief so we can approve it properly rather than on the day.
External catering is permitted. Cooking in the kitchen is not part of standard hire and needs prior approval — worth flagging early if you are shooting food.
A multi product shoot usually wants the run of the house. Full House is $400/hr and includes the bedrooms, bathrooms and the rest.
